The Hobbit House | Design and Build
Hello everyone. I’m Caleb with Dansie Design Build. Today, I want to take you on a tour of the Hobbit house we’re designing and building here in Herriman, Utah. What’s going on inside? How have we been piecing it together every day? Let’s find out.
Inside Tour
From the outside, we’ve got the main Hobbit door and two awesome round windows we’re framing. Coming right into the Hobbit house, you’ll see this is a single room. It’s designed to be a reading area and a library — an excellent place for peace.
On the left side, we’ll have cabinetry on the wall all the way to the corner. In the center of the room, there will be a fireplace. On the other side, there’ll be more cabinets in a somewhat symmetrical fashion to hold more books. Next to it will be a seated cushion desk, and the opposite side will have a standing desk.
That’s the tour of this little Hobbit house. You can see it’s going to turn out super awesome. You now have a sneak peek of what it will look like from the inside, peeking through this window and then looking down the trail to the primary residence here.
